BETAMOUSE #79 – 1scream’s Doug Sisk

We talk to 1scream’s Doug Sisk (@DougSD) this week about several slick projects he’s built in the Theme Park/Disney space! This kid’s got a lot of fire, and makes us all look really lazy. Be sure to listen!

BETAMOUSE #77 – Disney Social Networks

This week we talk vertical social networks… specifically of the Disney type (a break from our usual conversation, I know). The best example of this subject is Ravelry, a social network for the knitting community. We touch on a few existing sites, talk about where the Disney-specific social interaction is going on right now, and what we’d want in our ideal Disney-specific network (and if it should exist or not!).

BETAMOUSE D23 Expo Mandatory Fun Time

Scott and I are going to the D23 Expo next week, and we decided to touch base and get some grub. To spare us having to make awkward, computer science-related conversation, we’d like to invite others along. We’re going to have a mandatory* “meetup” outside of Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta in Disney California Adventure on Thursday, August 18th, at 6:30pm. All are welcome; no need to RSVP, bring Scott gifts, or code up your own events service to promote the event.

*By “mandatory,” I mean that at least Scott needs to be there. Also, it’s a requirement that he must have fun.

If you’re into declaring location intent on the internet, here is our Plancast: http://t.co/2kkesmH and Facebook: http://t.co/QH0rNx6.

Hope to see you there!
